Event Recap

HCM’s latest Beyond the Boardroom brought together healthcare executives for an afternoon of insight, dialogue, and connection. CEO Michael Crafton opened the event with a conversation on achieving peak performance by getting into “flow” through the GRACE method—Gratitude, Rest, Activity, Clean eating, and Exposure to sunlight. The discussion sparked ideas on how leaders can integrate these simple yet powerful practices into their daily routines to reduce burnout, improve focus, and foster a healthier workplace culture.

The conversation then shifted to our CFO panel, where industry leaders Jonathan Nalli, Amy Crouch, and Charlie Meadows discussed the recently passed Big Beautiful Bill and its sweeping implications for healthcare finance. Panelists explored revenue cycle risks, rural hospital viability, and payer negotiations, while emphasizing the industry’s responsibility to actively support and educate patients as these changes take effect. The discussion offered candid perspectives and actionable strategies for navigating the bill’s operational, financial, and patient care impacts.

We closed the afternoon with networking over wine and Broad Ripple’s signature Cake Bake Lemon Blueberry cake. The mix of thought leadership, peer exchange, and shared moments made for an engaging and energizing event, true to the spirit of Beyond the Boardroom.
